United States President Joe Biden will be persistent with his efforts to pass gun-restricting legislation, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press briefing, she reiterated that Biden has executive orders on the matter “under consideration,” adding that any executive action would also address community violence in addition to any gun-related issues.
Citing surveys, Psaki noted that “around 80%” of Americans support background checks prior to gun acquisition, including a significant number of gun owners.
