Turkey’s Health Ministry reported on Thursday that there were 55,941 newly registered coronavirus cases in the country, making it the third day in a row that the daily record has been breached. The current total number of cases stands at 3,689,866.
Over the past day, there were 258 COVID-related deaths, slightly lower than yesterday’s figures. The total number of deaths now stands at 33,201.
Turkey is currently in its third wave of the pandemic, as the rising numbers indicate, but the vaccination rollout is going steadily with more than 10 million people getting at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine
