United States Consumer Inflation Expectations
US inflation expectations for the following year increased by 0.4% to anew record of 5.7% in October 2021. Consumers expect inflationincrease (5.6% against 5.5% in September); gas (9.4% vs 5.9%); higher education (7.4% 5.9%);food (9.1% vs 7%); and rent (10.1% vs 9.7%, a new high in the series).
