With\u00a0most European\u00a0it&#8217;s open on Monday, there is still one more day of trading for the month. However, the\u00a0major indices are all trading higher for the month as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;look at the provisional closes are showing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>German DAX, +0.7%<\/li><li>France&#8217;s CAC,&nbsp;+0.8%<\/li><li>UK&#8217;s FTSE 100, +0.2%<\/li><li>Spain&#8217;s Ibex&nbsp;+0.45%<\/li><li>Italy&#8217;s FTSE MIB, +0.45%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the week,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>German DAX, +0.97%<\/li><li>Francis CAC, +1.55%<\/li><li>UK&#8217;s FTSE 100, +0.1%<\/li><li>Spain&#8217;s Ibex, +0.3%<\/li><li>Italy&#8217;s FTSE MIB, +0.8%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the month:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>German DAX,&nbsp;+2.5%<\/li><li>France&#8217;s CAC, +3.4%<\/li><li>UK&#8217;s FTSE 100, +0.8%<\/li><li>Spain&#8217;s Ibex, +4.7%<\/li><li>Italy&#8217;s FTSE MIB, +4.3%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>in other markets as London\/European traders look to exit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Spot gold is trading near unchanged at $1896.20<\/li><li>.Spot silver is also near unchanged at $27.83.<\/li><li>WTI crude oil futures are trading up six cents or 0.09% at $66.92<\/li><li>Bitcoin&nbsp;is down&nbsp;$1700 or -4.37% at $36,810<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the US debt market, yields are lower with the 10 year down 1.8 basis points&nbsp;leading the way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/az705044.vo.msecnd.net\/20210528\/2021-05-28_8-56-57.jpg\" alt=\"US yields are lower\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The USD\u00a0remains the strongest of the majors, but\u00a0just barely versus the EUR.\u00a0 In the\u00a0New York session, the dollar has gotten weaker from pre-market levels.\u00a0 Pairs like the EURUSD has\u00a0nearly retraced all of the early declines.\u00a0 The GBPUSD is also\u00a0pushing back to the upside, the USDJPY lower and USDCHF lower<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/az705044.vo.msecnd.net\/20210528\/snag_10585c1b.png\" alt=\"forex rates\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forexlive.com\/technical-analysis\/!\/european-shares-close-the-week-with-gains-20210528\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.forexlive.com\/technical-analysis\/!\/european-shares-close-the-week-with-gains-20210528\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.forexlive.com\/technical-analysis\/!\/european-shares-close-the-week-with-gains-20210528<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Major indices higher for the week\/higher for the month The major European indices have moved higher on the day and the week.
