{"id":1581,"date":"2021-07-22T09:56:04","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T12:56:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wintrademarkets.com\/news\/?p=1581"},"modified":"2021-07-22T09:56:07","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T12:56:07","slug":"eurusd-chops-up-and-down-as-the-market-digests-the-ecb-decision-and-lagarde-presser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wintrademarkets.com\/new\/2021\/07\/22\/eurusd-chops-up-and-down-as-the-market-digests-the-ecb-decision-and-lagarde-presser\/","title":{"rendered":"EURUSD chops up and down as the market digests the ECB decision and Lagarde presser"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EURUSD&nbsp;trades above and below its 100 hour moving average<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The EURUSD is\u00a0chopping up and down as markets digest the ECB\u00a0decision and Lagarde press conference (to be ongoing for the next 40 minutes or so).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/az705044.vo.msecnd.net\/20210722\/2021-07-22_5-41-52.jpg\" alt=\"EURUSD\u00a0trades above and below its 100 hour moving average\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the hourly chart above, the\u00a0headlines from the decision sent the price\u00a0initially higher and\u00a0briefly above its 200 hour moving average 1.18073.\u00a0\u00a0However, that run to the upside was quickly reversed with the price extending to a new session low down near 1.17708. That\u00a0level was the swing lows going back to July 13\/14. The\u00a0floor and ceiling have been found.<br>The\u00a0price has bounced back up toward the 100 hour moving average at 1.1790, and\u00a0traded above and below that moving average level currently. That is\u00a0also near the midpoint of the day&#8217;s trading range.\u00a0\u00a0<br>Flip a coin?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>What we know, is that the price rise found sellers near the 200 hour MA.
